Our Process

Our Asphalt Paving Process in Massachusetts

Every asphalt project in Massachusetts follows the same four steps, from the first site visit to the final walkthrough with the property owner.

  1. Free Estimate

A visit to the property confirms measurements, drainage conditions, and base requirements before any written pricing is prepared.

  2. Site Preparation

Old surfaces are removed, the area is excavated, and the gravel base is compacted to the correct depth.

  3. Asphalt Installation

Hot mix asphalt is laid in even layers, rolled while hot, and finished with clean, clearly defined edges.

  4. Final Walkthrough

The finished surface is reviewed with the owner, including clear cure times, care instructions, and recommended maintenance timing.

It depends on size, access, and how much prep the area needs. A small driveway and a commercial lot aren't close in price. We'll measure the site, check drainage, and give you a written estimate for free, with no obligation.

You can usually drive on it after two or three days, but full curing takes several months. Keep sharp turns, heavy vehicles, and kickstands off it early on. We'll go over the exact timing when we finish the job onsite.

Late spring through early fall is the sweet spot. Asphalt needs warm ground to compact properly, so we don't pave in freezing or wet weather. Sealcoating works best in that same window, when overnight temperatures stay consistently above fifty degrees.

Every two or three years works for most driveways. It depends on sun exposure, traffic, and how worn the surface looks. Wait at least six months on new asphalt, since sealing too early traps oils and slows proper curing.

If the cracks are surface level and the base is solid, crack filling and sealcoating buy years. Once you see potholes, alligator cracking, or spots that sink after rain, the base is failing. Replacement usually makes more sense at that point.

Yes. We handle retail lots, apartment complexes, and office park properties. Work gets scheduled around your business hours so customer access stays open. Overlays, full replacement, and preventive maintenance are all options, depending on the current condition of your lot.
