Both work, and we use both. Squeegee pushes material into the surface and leaves a heavier coat, which suits driveways. Spray covers large lots evenly and moves a lot faster. Edges and tight spots get done by hand either way.
Up to a certain point. Sealer needs surface temperatures above fifty degrees and no rain for a day, so mid October is usually the cutoff. After that, we'd rather schedule you for spring than watch a fresh coat fail early.
